Alfonso González de León joined Vinces in 2014. He heads the Digital division and has been a partner at the firm since 2020. He has served as secretary of the Board of Directors since 2025 and is a member of the Management Committee.
Since joining the firm, he has advised IBEX 35 companies, major international technology firms, and startups seeking to defend, adapt, or promote disruptive business models in the face of regulatory changes, on projects involving local, regional, national, and European government agencies and institutions. His work encompasses achieving regulatory milestones, designing social mobilization campaigns, assessing the feasibility of business investment projects in the region, and advising on mergers and acquisitions. He has also played a key role in developing the firm’s practice in Barcelona and leads Vinces’ pro bono practice, applying his public affairs methodology to causes in defense of children, particularly foster care.
Before joining Vinces, he worked in Washington, D.C., at the U.S. Congress, in the office of Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and at the Spanish Embassy. In Spain, he served as a legislative advisor in the Spanish Parliament (Cortes Generales) and the Parliament of Catalonia. At the same time, he combines his professional work with teaching and analyzing U.S. politics.
